Description

Zhenobya Nablus soap is a traditional olive oil soap made in the ancient city of Nablus in Palestine. The Nablus soap is handmade by a centuries-old method and receipt only from the finest cold-pressed extra virgin olive oils. First, the soap is simmered at a low temperature for several days, allowing the qualities of the olive oil to be preserved and passed on to the soap. The liquid soap is then poured on a floor or shallow basin and left to dry for a couple of days. After the soap has dried, it is then carefully hand-measured and marked with the help of a red wool thread, leaving characteristic red traces on the surface of the soap, serving as a testimony of authenticity. After the soap has been cut, it is then left to air-dry for additional 2-3 months. It’s a great all-around soap, suitable for washing hands, body, face, hair, or even for shaving. Due to its richness in mineral salts such as magnesium, iron and manganese, glycerine, and the naturally occurring linoleic and alpha-linoleic acids, the soap has natural antioxidant and rehydrating effects, making it a great choice for sensitive and problematic skins.
