Zhenobya Mardin soap is a traditional olive oil soap with the addition of wild pistachio oil. The soap originates from the ancient city of Mardin in South Turkey (historic Mesopotamia), where soap has been made already for centuries following the same ancient process and receipt inspired by the natural environment of wild pistachio trees. The pistachio oil is simmered at low heat for 72 hours together with the cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and then carefully hand dried. Mardin soap is well-known for its superior quality and effectiveness. Pistachio and olive oils are rich in unsaturated essential fatty acids, vitamin E, magnesium, iron, and lecithin, and have a natural antioxidant and antibacterial effect. It’s a great all-around soap, suitable for washing hands, body, face, hair, or even for shaving. Thanks to its soothing properties, Mardin soap is ideal for use on dry or problematic skin.
