Zhenobya Antioch soap is a traditional olive oil soap handmade in the ancient city of Antioch and its surrounding region (nowadays Antakya) in Turkey. Like Aleppo soap, it is a centuries-old soap made with olive and laurel oils. However, in Antioch soap, only distilled water, and the highest quality cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil are used. The laurel oil content in the soap is 30%. It is exactly this formula that has made this soap famous and highly valued. The special qualities of the soap are its fresh and subtle fragrance, its strong moisturizing effect, and its disinfecting and soothing effect on the skin. It’s a great all-around soap, suitable for washing hands, body, face, hair, or even for shaving. Thanks to the hypoallergenic, antiseptic, moisturizing, and nourishing characteristics of the oils, this soap is also suitable for sensitive and gentle or problematic skin.
